A Helping Hand from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Palestine: Aid Trucks Are On Their Way

Under the leadership of the Cyprus Vakıflar Administration and organized with the support of the public and civil society organizations, humanitarian aid trucks aimed at supporting our brothers and sisters in Palestine, who are facing difficult conditions, will depart on Friday, October 4. After the Friday prayer at Hala Sultan Mosque, the trucks will be sent off with prayers, serving as an expression of the deep solidarity the people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus feel for Palestine.

In order to ensure the safe and rapid delivery of aid to Gaza, cooperation will be established with AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority). The trucks will be delivered to AFAD in Mersin and will be coordinated by AFAD for transportation to Gaza. The trucks will carry essential food items, health supplies, and other humanitarian necessities to support the fight against the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have taken this significant step to not remain indifferent to the struggles faced by the Palestinian people, with whom they share historical and cultural ties. This aid, aimed at alleviating the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, was collected with broad participation and sensitivity within the TRNC. The donations prepared with great selflessness by the public are seen as a strong indication of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

This important humanitarian aid initiative aims to remind the Palestinian people that they are not alone during their difficult days and to demonstrate that the people of the TRNC always stand by the oppressed.
