History
Named after the nearby former thread market, İplik Pazarı Mosque features classic Ottoman architectural traits. Its humble and practical design is complemented by a small minaret and wooden interior elements, reflecting traditional Turkish craftsmanship. Located in a once-busy trade district, the mosque also had a strong social function. It continues to serve as a prayer space today and stands as a meaningful site both culturally and religiously within the historic surroundings of Nicosia.
