With the main sponsorship of the Foundations Administration, the 2nd Birkan Uzun Summit Run will be held on Sunday, and the race will be held on Sunday, June 4th.

The Birkan Uzun Summit Run, which was organized for the first time last year by the TRNC Athletics Federation, is being held for the second time this year.

The race, which was organized for the second time in memory of Uzun, who climbed to the highest peaks of the world on his way with the slogan "7 Continents, 7 Summits" and finally reached the summit of Vinson Mountain in Antarctica, will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

THE RACE WILL BEGIN AT 08:00

The race, which will be held with the main sponsorship of Cyprus Foundations Administration (Evkaf), will start at Selvili Tepe, named after Birkan Uzun. Participants will gather in front of Kozan Restaurant at 07:00 in the morning. The race, which will start at 08:00 in the square where Birkan Uzun is pictured, will end at the Karşıyaka picnic area.

At a distance of 8.2 kilometers, the race, which was organized with the slogan "The most challenging race in Cyprus at the highest point of Cyprus", will be held on a difficult stage with many ups and downs, worthy of Uzun's name.

While the records of the race, which was held in the picnic area of ​​Geçitkale, Mersinlik for the first time last year and took place in a festive atmosphere, are continuing, the awards and certificates will be presented to the winners at the ceremony to be held at the end of the race.
