Workshops were held as part of the Turkish – Islamic History of Science Exhibition in 100 Objects in Nicosia Bedesten.

For the students of Famagusta Turkish Maarif College, İskele Evkaf Turkish Maarif College, Nicosia Turkish Maarif College and Güzelyurt Turkish Maarif College, Prof. Dr. Jan p. Together with his assistants, Hogendijk provided the students with a unique experience.

Through the astrolabe of Hugandi, the Islamic scientist discovered in the 9th century, students experienced measuring the duration of light, determining direction and calculating hours on their birthdays. Thus, the young people who learned that the source of mathematical genius, which did not exist in 9th century Europe, is in our history. also gained knowledge.

With these workshops, it is aimed that our history of science will be a source of inspiration for today's youth.
