Larnaca Castle

Location: It is located on the coast of Larnaca in the south of Cyprus.
Opening: It was first built in the Middle Ages to protect the southern coast of Cyprus and the port city of Larnaca. In order to develop Larnaca as a trade center, it was given its current shape by Ferhat Pasha, Governor of Cyprus, the tulip of Sultan Ahmed I, in 1014 H. - 1605-1606 A.D.
Current Functionality: The castle is used as a museum today.
Definition of the Castle: It is a thick-walled, bastioned and battlemented structure built to ensure security.
Exterior-Interior Spaces: The entrance of the castle faces north, and the building built here during the Ottoman period was used as the "Port Administration Building". It is a square planned Ottoman period structure.
