Named for the trade area around it, Dükkanlar Önü Mosque was built in the 19th century during the Ottoman period. Though small, it has elegant architecture. Its wooden ceiling and stone minaret reflect traditional elements. Designed as a mosque intertwined with commercial life, together with the surrounding shops it has long served as a social center. Its architectural features and historical location make it of interest to visitors. Today it is open both for worship and for short visits.
