Evkaf Goodness Volunteers visited the Thalassemia Center located within Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital to support Thalassemia patients.

The Evkaf Goodness Volunteers visited the center to shoot an awareness video aimed at educating the public. They gave hope to patients waiting for blood by donating blood.

The Goodness Volunteers, who received information from healthcare professionals about Thalassemia, invited all healthy citizens to regularly donate blood by visiting the Blood Bank at Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.

What is Thalassemia?
Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder commonly seen in Mediterranean countries. Patients need to receive blood transfusions every two weeks.
Therefore, regular blood donations are of great importance for this disease, which affects approximately 150 people in our country.
