CULTURE (RESTORATION AND ARCHIVAL STUDIES)
The vast majority of cultural assets in Cyprus belong to the Cyprus Foundations Administration. The artifacts belonging to the foundations of Cyprus, which have survived from past cultures to the present day, constitute our cultural heritage. Protecting these values entrusted to us by our ancestors is one of the main duties of the Cyprus Foundations Administration. Within the framework of this understanding, the Cyprus Foundations Administration, in cooperation with various institutions and organizations, works for the restoration of important architectural works in accordance with their originals. In this context, within the framework of the projects prepared with the contributions of the Republic of Turkey, the European Union and UNDP PFF (United Nations Development Programme-Partnership for the Future) to the Cyprus Foundations Administration, the Büyük Han, Bedesten (St. Nicholas Church), Samanbahçe Workers' Houses, the historical Great Bath and many of our historical mosques have been restored and reopened in accordance with their originals. The Bedesten restoration project 2009 was awarded the prestigious Europa Nostra Award. The extensive restoration of the Armenian Church and Monastery (Notre Dame de Tyre) in Nicosia is underway and will be completed shortly. n addition, a reinforcement project has been prepared for the Sinan Pasha Mosque (Wheat Mosque - Church of St. Peter and St. Paul) in Famagusta, which is an old cultural heritage, and restoration works will be started shortly. The 400 year old carpets and foundation objects in various mosques within the body of the Cyprus Foundations Administration were restored with the contributions of the General Directorate of Foundations of Turkey and the Cyprus Museum of Turkish Islamic Arts, which was organized to exhibit these valuable cultural heritage works, was opened to visitors on 24 May 2013. In addition, four centuries of Ottoman records and documents have been compiled with today's technology and will soon be made available to researchers at the Sultan Mahmut II Library of the Cyprus Administration of Foundations. Ottoman documents, records, notebooks, minutes and all similar written sources in the archives of the Cyprus Administration of Foundations, which constitute the most important evidence of the Turkish presence in Cyprus, have been digitized with modern technological facilities and preserved in a special section in the National Archive buildings in Kyrenia.

EDUCATION

European University of Lefke, which was established by the Cyprus Science Foundation, which was established in 1989 under the Cyprus Foundations Administration, and started its operations in 1990; With 35 departments in 8 faculties, 11 departments in 3 colleges, and graduate and doctoral programs, it provides education to more than 5 thousand students from nearly forty different countries and cooperates with many universities in the international arena. The European University of Lefke, which has been recognized by the ministries of education of many countries, is also a member of many international education councils and institutions. The Cyprus Foundations Administration has also allocated a significant number and size of real estate to various schools to be used for educational purposes. In addition to all these, the Cyprus Foundations Administration also provides scholarship opportunities to needy and successful students.

TOURISM

For many years, the Cyprus Foundations Administration has contributed greatly to the tourism activities of the country with its hotels (Saray Hotel in Nicosia, Dome Hotel and Mare Monte Hotel in Kyrenia), and then withdrew from the field of tourism management and rented the facilities it owned. By leasing some lands with important positions and values belonging to the Cyprus Foundations Administration to investors for a long time, it has been possible to increase the potential of our country's tourism accommodation facilities. In addition, cultural assets belonging to the Cyprus Foundations Administration also serve tourism.

RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS

Since the first days of its establishment, the Cyprus Foundations Administration has been carrying out activities to finance and develop the religious services of the Turkish Cypriot community, and within the framework of the conditions of the foundation, it carries out the repair and restoration of places of worship such as mosques, masjids and buildings of historical and religious value such as lodges and tombs with a part of its income. The Cyprus Foundations Administration, which has been financing religious services for many years by allocating a share of its revenues, seems to have moved away from this area as a result of the establishment of the Religious Affairs Department instead of the Mufti Office, which was formerly affiliated to it, with the decision of the state to support religious services during the preparation phase of the Constitutions of the Turkish Cypriot Federated State and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

REAL ESTATE & CONSTRUCTION

The Cyprus Foundations Administration builds business inns, bazaars and passages that tradesmen need in the cities in order to put its properties into service in accordance with the needs of all humanity; It allocates housing suitable for the housing needs of low-income workers, allocates a part of its land and farms to farmers in rural areas and rents it to farmers at reasonable prices. It also allocates land and buildings to service institutions such as schools, cultural centers, libraries, municipalities and hospitals. The Cyprus Foundations Administration is the largest real estate owner in Northern Cyprus with more than two thousand tenants; It is not content with collecting the rental income of this enormous asset, but also produces new projects and makes new investments to develop them.

AGRICULTURE

Four percent of the cultivable agricultural land belonging to Turks across the island belongs to the Cyprus Foundations Administration. The Cyprus Administration of Foundations operates some of its own citrus groves and farms, while others are rented out to various businesses at reasonable rates.

SPORTS

Cyprus Vakıflar Bank, which operates with 10 branches in various cities of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and a total of 245 personnel, constitutes one of the important service pillars of the Cyprus Administration of Foundations.
