Nicosia Mevlevi Lodge

Mevlevi Lodge is located on the left side, a hundred meters from the Kyrenia gate.

It was built in 1593 by Arap Ahmet Pasha on the land belonging to him. Haydar Pasha's daughter, Emine Hanım, donated the land next to it. It was rebuilt on the old foundations in the 17th century. Since Lala Mustafa Pasha, the conqueror of Cyprus, was affiliated with the Mevlevi sect, this lodge was planned to be built in the first constructions after the conquest.

Its current functionality: It serves as the Ethnography Museum.
