A cooperation protocol on "Student Development and Career Planning" was signed between the Education Counselorship of the TR Nicosia Embassy, ​​the Ministry of National Education and Culture's Higher Education and Foreign Relations Department, Istanbul Technical University – TRNC Education and Research Campuses Rectorate, and Cyprus Foundations Administration (EVKAF) General Directorate.
The protocol was signed by Ekrem Toklucu, Educational Counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, Director of Higher Education and Foreign Relations Department of the Ministry of National Education and Culture, Dr. Ziya Öztürkler, Rector of Istanbul Technical University ITU-TRNC Education-Research Campuses. Dr. Cumali Kınacı and Cyprus Foundations Administration (EVKAF) General Manager Prof. Dr. Ibrahim F. Benter signed.
The cooperation protocol covers the principles of cooperation of the parties regarding all activities, programs and practices to be carried out to help secondary and higher education students studying in the TRNC develop themselves in many different fields and make career planning.
Within the scope of "Student Development and Career Planning" programs, free education and training practices, seminars, courses, conferences, congresses, exhibitions, domestic and international trips and similar activities will be carried out for students who continue their secondary education, undergraduate and graduate education in the TRNC. will be planned and implemented.
Within the framework of the protocol, the "Student Development and Career Academy", which will be equipped by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, is expected to be put into service at the end of this month.

At the signing ceremony of the “Student Development and Career Planning” cooperation protocol, Ekrem Toklucu, Education Counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, made a presentation and conveyed the details of the project.
Noting that there are very successful and intelligent students in the TRNC, Toklucu said that most of these students do not have career planning goals.
Stating that “Every student can develop within the framework of competence and competence when properly guided”, Toklucu stated that they will support children in this direction.
Explaining that while some professions will be erased from history, new professions will emerge, Toklucu emphasized that career management should be done instead of career planning.
Speaking about the professions of the future and the future of professions, Toklucu stated that the concepts of development and career have changed and that they want to undertake the mission of explaining these changes to the students correctly.
Talking about the "Student Development and Career Academy", Toklucu informed that the building was equipped by TIKA and that it will be ready for the opening at the end of the month, and stated that there will be consultants here.
“We will analyze the talents of our children. We aim to give them a talent report,” Toklucu said, adding that they will be the guide, but the decision will be made by the children.
ÖZTÜRKLER: “WE ARE HERE TO DIRECT STUDENTS TO THE PROFESSIONS OF THE FUTURE”
Director of Higher Education and Foreign Relations Department of the Ministry of National Education and Culture Dr. Ziya Öztürkler, on the other hand, in his speech expressing their satisfaction with taking part in the project, said that they are involved in the project to direct students to the professions of the future.
Noting that approximately 2,700 students graduate from TRNC high schools every year, Öztürkler noted that 70 percent of these students prefer to study at university and said, "We will work with all our knowledge to guide our students to the right fields."

Cyprus Foundations Administration General Director Prof. Dr. In his speech at the signing ceremony, İbrahim Benter emphasized the importance of providing the right education to the youth and said that the young people who receive the right education will serve the society by using their potential in the best way.
Explaining that the “Student Development and Career Planning” project aims to prepare students for the world in the best way possible, Benter emphasized that the way to do this is to offer them the best educational opportunities.

ITU-TRNC Education-Research Campuses Rector Prof. Dr. Cumali Kınacı, on the other hand, noted that as Istanbul Technical University, they are ready to support the TRNC in every field.
