The General Directorate of Cyprus Foundations Administration organized a traditional iftar dinner for ambassadors and other guests serving in the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus, continuing the tradition it has been carrying out for the last two years, on the occasion of Ramadan 2025. The event, held in Nicosia, was attended by religious figures, officials from international organizations and a large diplomatic delegation.

In his speech at the dinner, General Director of Cyprus Foundations Administration Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer drew attention to the important role of the Cyprus Foundations Administration in the social, cultural and economic fabric of the island. Tümer said, “The Cyprus Foundations Administration has played a very important role in the social, cultural and economic structure of the island. It has been a source of support for communities, provided basic services and increased the sense of solidarity among the people.”

Tümer stated that Evkaf has hosted many civilizations and different religions with its 453-year history, and said, “Everyone living on the island has been welcomed regardless of their language, religion, race, beliefs and backgrounds.” He also emphasized Evkaf’s goal of collaborating with different countries for better projects.

This meaningful iftar dinner, which was also attended by the Cyprus Foundations Administration Board Members, stood out as an event reflecting the spirit of unity and solidarity of the month of Ramadan. The participants expressed that such organizations are of great importance in terms of increasing dialogue and solidarity between societies.

TRNC Head of Religious Affairs Hakan Moral also attended the event and performed the iftar prayer. Moral wished that the month of Ramadan would bring peace, tranquility and brotherhood with his prayer.
