"Birkan Uzun Memorial Forest" was created in Kalkanlı region in memory of Turkish Cypriot mountaineer Birkan Uzun, who represented our country with the 7 continents and 7 summits project and died as a result of an unfortunate ski accident in the USA.

Evkaf Goodness Volunteers also contributed to the Memorial Forest, which was supported by many institutions, organizations and volunteers.
