CYPRUS EVKAF ADMINISTRATION DIRECTOR GENERAL PROF. DR. MUSTAFA TÜMER PARTICIPATES IN THE 12TH INTERNATIONAL EMI ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SOCIAL SCIENCES CONGRESS

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer, Director General of the Cyprus Evkaf Administration, participated in the 12th International EMI Entrepreneurship and Social Sciences Congress, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from June 10-12, 2026.

Hosted by Turan University, the congress, which offered both in-person and online participation options, brought together academics, researchers, and managers from different countries around the world. The congress addressed current issues in the fields of entrepreneurship, economics, management sciences, education, and social sciences, and important exchanges of views took place regarding the development of international academic collaborations.

This year, the congress, attended by academics and researchers from 27 countries, presented 225 accepted scientific papers. The EMI Congress, recognized as a significant international scientific platform, facilitated the sharing of knowledge and experience among experts from diverse disciplines, contributing to the strengthening of academic collaborations.

During the congress, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer participated in various sessions and held meetings with representatives from international academic circles. These meetings focused on education, culture, the civilization of foundations, and work carried out for the benefit of society, while also exploring potential areas of collaboration.

Commenting on the congress, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer stated, "The 12th International EMI Entrepreneurship and Social Sciences Congress is not merely an academic event for the Cyprus Evkaf Administration; it is a strategic platform for promoting the civilization of foundations, developing relations with the Turkic world, showcasing cultural heritage internationally, and increasing the institution's global visibility. This participation is an international reflection of the Cyprus Evkaf Administration's vision to carry its past experience in foundations into the future."

As part of the program, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer also met with the Rector of Turan University, Prof. Dr. Rahman Alşanov. During the meeting, developments in higher education, strengthening academic collaborations in the Turkic world, and efforts to protect cultural heritage were discussed.

In commemoration of the visit, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer presented Prof. Dr. Rahman Alşanov with a gift on behalf of the Cyprus Evkaf Administration. The meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, emphasized the importance of collaborations to be developed based on shared history and cultural values.

Following the congress, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer traveled to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, and visited Dr. Mekin Mustafa Kemal Ökem, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bishkek, at his office. Tahir Osman Tahir, the Representative of the TRNC in Bishkek, was also present at the meeting. During the meeting, international academic and cultural collaborations were discussed, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer thanked Dr. Mekin Mustafa Kemal Ökem and Tahir Osman Tahir for their kind hospitality.

The Cyprus Evkaf Administration will continue its efforts to represent the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the foundation civilization on international platforms, and to develop academic and cultural collaborations.
