Cyprus Evkaf Administration Launches Meaningful Theatre Project for Children

The Volunteers for Goodness Team, operating under the Cyprus Evkaf Administration, has launched a new project aimed at raising social awareness. The play, "How Can I Become a Superhero?", prepared by the theatre club, has begun to be performed for primary school students.

Implemented as part of World Theatre Day, celebrated annually on March 27th, the project aims to connect children with the power of art in raising social awareness.

The play, performed in six pilot schools in six different regions, is offered free of charge to children. The play, notable for its educational and entertaining content, aims to raise awareness among students about fundamental values such as environmental cleanliness, solidarity, and cooperation.

The first performance of the project took place on March 11, 2026, at Lefke Istiklal Primary School, followed by a performance at Özgürlük Primary School. While the performances continue in different schools, the play, which was staged at Dikmen Primary School on March 24th and Mehmetçik Primary School on March 25th, will continue to meet with students at Tatlısu and Arabahmet Primary Schools in the coming days.

The aim is to provide children with both enjoyable time and a sense of social responsibility by utilizing the power of theater, while also contributing to the upbringing of sensitive individuals for the future.

Following the events, milk and nuts were offered to the students to promote healthy eating habits, bringing the day to a pleasant conclusion.
