Foundation Allocating Homes to Elderly Women
Neslişah Sultan was on her way from İstinye to the mansion in Kasımpaşa.
When he saw Payitaht from afar, his eyes misted up.
His servants did not know why their mistress was crying. She was the bride of Dukakinzade Ahmet Pasha, who came to Istanbul and converted to Islam and later rose to the rank of vizier in the palace.
There had been sad events in the past; maybe the memories were suddenly revived?
In the zawiyah he had built next to the mosque, food was given to the poor. He had allocated this mansion for the care of old and destitute servants.
He gave the following instructions to his assistants to continue the charity services after him:
-A house is allocated in Kasımpaşa for the sick, poor, orphaned and elderly servants.
This instruction was recorded as the specification of the Neslişah Sultan Foundation, the bride of Dukakinzade Ahmet Pasha, which was established in 1553 A.H. 961.
Now it was his turn to serve the servants. Forever.
