Foundation that teaches calligraphy
In the very first lesson, he explained how much importance he attached to good writing as well as knowledge.
He warned that an important part of his note would be from this.
He devoted a part of each lesson to writing instruction.
As a result, the students, albeit with some difficulty and a little boredom, had to say goodbye to squeaky writing in order to get extra notes.
One, two, three lessons... Then towards the end, each student's writing had improved considerably.
When they became perfectly handwritten, they themselves were surprised at the success.
When they went to thank him for his favor, their teacher told them:
-Look, guys. Beautiful writing is a historical tradition in our country. That's why the world's greatest calligraphers came from us.
Even foundations have been established for this work. For example, the Mustafa Efendi Foundation in Istanbul is such a foundation.
Do you know what this honorable person said in his charter?
"The calligrapher teachers in question will give calligraphy lessons at least two days a week to the students; their teachers will be paid ten coins per day."
Then the teacher explained to his students the peak our calligraphy has reached, our famous calligraphers, etc. He told the story and connected the word with a "darp-ı parable":
That's why the phrase "The Qur'an was sent down in Mecca. It was read in Cairo. It was written in Istanbul" has become famous.
Now they understood the background of the matter. They left their teachers happily again...
We commemorate with mercy and gratitude the founders of the foundation, which was established in Istanbul in 1740, with Mustafa Efendi İbni Feyzullah Efendi's tagline.
