Mehmet Ağa, who has vineyards and gardens in Bursa and Iznik, distributed the fruits of the trees he cultivated throughout his life, served and fed them, regardless of the rich or poor.

In fact, people were allowed to take one destemal (a large piece of cloth used as a headscarf) of fruit of their choice to their families and homes.

Mehmed Ağa, son of Hüseyin Nasrullah, established a foundation in his name in 1594 and left the vineyards and gardens in İznik as akar (income generating property) to this foundation. Thus, he wanted to prevent the fruits he distributed with his own hands from being destroyed after his death. He wanted his gardens to be festive in the seasons when the fruits were ripe, and as long as the crop continued, it should be distributed and fed to everyone, rich and poor. Because, as these trees produce a fruit, rewards are given to the person who planted them and cultivated them.
