Karababa Tomb

Karababa Tomb, located in Nicosia Surlariçi region, is known as Karabuba Lodge or mosque among the people.

It is recorded that the Karababa Tomb, consisting of a large single room, on the corner of Karababa Street, close to the Nicosia Haydarpaşa Mosque, has a garden and there are many buildings around it. However, it has not reached the present day.

According to the most common rumor, it belongs to a soldier who was martyred during the conquest of Nicosia. The grave of the soldier, who was buried with his clothes and weapons because he was a martyr, first turned into a tomb, and with the appointment of a tomb-dark, it turned into a lodge.
