Kofunye Mosque
Kofunye Mosque
Köfünye Mosque is a foundation property located in Köfünye village of Larnaca county.
It has a modest architecture with its only minaret and Sarıtaş construction.
The village, on the other hand, was a mixed village where the majority belonged to Turkish Cypriots and a small number of Greeks lived from the Ottoman period until the 1960s.
Köfünye, which was named Geçitkale in 1958, has an important place in Turkish Cypriot history.
