History
Built in the 16th Century by Ottoman governor Ağa Cafer Paşa, this mosque is a refined example of classical Ottoman architecture. Its square layout, single-balcony minaret, and stone walls give it a distinct appearance. Inside, the mihrab and minbar reflect exquisite stone craftsmanship. The mosque is well-integrated into the historic texture of its surroundings and has largely preserved its original form thanks to various restorations.
