History
Araplar Mosque is one of the oldest mosques within the walled city of Nicosia, believed to have been founded in the 16th century. Its architecture is simple yet functional. The surrounding neighborhood takes its name from the mosque. With a peaceful courtyard and calming interior, it reflects the daily spiritual life of the Ottoman era. The mosque has survived through various restorations and is still used for both worship and historical interest.
