Lefke Courts Mosque. (Lower Neighborhood Abu Bakr Mosque)
It is thought that the Courts Mosque was built in 1814, when the Ottomans dominated the island. It is stated that the date on the tombstone in its courtyard indicates this year.
It is known that the said tombstone was later removed to the Güzelyurt Museum and is still on display.
Although today the Courts are referred to as the Mosque, when we look at the list of foundations in Cyprus prepared by the Istanbul foundations in 1879, it is seen that its name is Lefke Aşağı Mahalle Ebu Bekir Mosque.
