From the sharia register dated 1003 (1595), one of the oldest documents mentioning the Mevlevi Lodge, it is understood that the lodge near the Nicosia Girne Gate is among the Arab Ahmed Pasha foundations.

There is a fountain on the left side of the entrance door of the lodge, which was built of cut stone.

There is a marble inscription, a faucet and a trough in the niche formed by the pointed arch in front of the fountain, and the inscription of the fountain contains charity information that is thought to have contributed to its construction.
