From the sharia registry dated 1003 (1595), one of the oldest documents mentioning the Mevlevihane, it is understood that the lodge near the Nicosia Kyrenia Gate is among the Arap Ahmed Pasha foundations and that a mesnevihan was in charge here.

There is a fountain on the left side of the entrance door of the lodge, which was built of cut stone.

There is a marble inscription, a faucet and a trough in the niche formed by the pointed arch in front of the fountain, and the inscription of the fountain includes the phrase "Ya Atta Shapari", which is thought to have contributed to its construction.
