Restoration of Old Erenköy Turkish School and Mosque

Another historical monument was brought to the country's values ​​in cooperation with the TRNC Security Forces Command (GÜV. K. K.) and the Cyprus Foundations Administration (Evkaf).

Restoration works started in the beginning of 2023 for the Turkish school and mosque in the old Erenköy area have been completed.

The opening of the old school and mosque was held on the 59th anniversary of the 8 August 1964 Erenköy Resistance, one of the important struggles of the Turkish Cypriots on the island.

Evkaf, which produces long-term projects for the restoration and maintenance of foundation works, Turkish cemeteries and martyrdoms all over Cyprus, continues to protect our cultural values.

The Turkish School, which was opened to the public as a museum as a result of the restoration works, will carry the traces of history to the present day.
