The “Âsitâne Meşkleri” programme, organised through the collaboration of the Cyprus Evkaf Administration, the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Yunus Emre Institute, the Istanbul Meydan Meşkleri Institute and the İnsan ve İrfan Foundation, was held on 24 October 2026 at the historic Nicosia Mevlevi Lodge.

During the programme, the Istanbul Meydan Meşkleri Ensemble performed distinguished works of traditional Turkish music under the guidance of Postnişin M. Fatih Çıtlak and Artistic Director Yüce Gümüş.

The programme was attended by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer, Director General of the Cyprus Evkaf Administration, and Abdullah Aktaş, Coordinator of the Nicosia Yunus Emre Institute.

Held at the Nicosia Mevlevi Lodge, the event brought the musical tradition, an integral part of Mevlevi culture, together with the audience. Participants had the opportunity to listen to various examples of traditional Turkish music and gain a closer insight into this cultural heritage.

The programme concluded with the presentation of plaques to individuals who contributed to the event. The plaques were presented by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer, Director General of the Cyprus Evkaf Administration, and Özlem Kadirağa, President of the Cyprus Turkish Folk Dance Federation.
