The construction of the Iskele Evkaf Turkish Maarif College, which cost 8 million Turkish Liras and was opened with a ceremony, was carried out by the Foundations Administration.

The new college building has 13 classrooms, language and information technology rooms, and a cafeteria. Within the framework of the protocol signed between the Ministry of National Education and Culture and the Cyprus Foundations Administration, the inauguration of the Iskele Evkaf Turkish Maarif College, whose construction was completed by the Cyprus Foundations Administration, was held with a ceremony. The ceremony started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem.

School Principal Betül Yıkıcı, who made the first speech at the ceremony, said that İskele Evkaf Türk Maarif College, which has 13 classrooms, language and information technology rooms and a cafeteria, will provide education with 3 administrators and 51 teachers this year, and 326 students will receive education at the school.

Iskele Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu also said that education continues for life, but the foundations were laid under the roof of the school, and that there were many difficulties due to the lack of a college building in the region for years.

Cyprus Foundations Administration General Director Prof. Dr. İbrahim Benter also stated that in cooperation with the Foundations and the Ministry of National Education and Culture, they have provided children with a modern educational institution, and noted that thanks to the school, children with high national and moral values ​​will be reintegrated into society. Benter also expressed the names of the foundations that were the source of the 8 million TL used for the construction of the school, and their impact on the present day. Durali Elalda, Chairman of the Board of the Cyprus Foundations Administration, gave information about the investments and aids of the Foundations Organization and reminded the aid organizations that have been built and put into the service of the public since they came to the island.

Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Nazım Çavuşoğlu, on the other hand, stated that he had a very emotional day as a deputy of the region and as a teacher, adding that this school had been a dream for many years and now they are happy to realize this dream. Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that the children who will grow up in these schools will be individuals who will carry the love of homeland to the future, and that the Turkish Cypriots, who have been living in these lands for nearly 500 years, will continue on their way by protecting the same values.

Minister of National Education and Culture, Olgun Amcaoğlu, also noted that the building is the product of teamwork and that the number of schools in Iskele will continue to increase, and that investments will continue in order to provide education in more contemporary conditions. Minister Amcaoğlu stated that the academic year will be opened face-to-face this year, and that the number of schools in the country will be increased and new schools will be put into the service of the public in all regions. After Amcaoğlu's speech, thank you plaques were presented.

Prime Minister Ersan Saner, who made the last speech at the ceremony, reminded that they produced projects for the construction of many public institutions and organizations in the Iskele region when he was the Minister of Public Works and Transport in 2010, and said that another success was achieved in this framework. Listing the investments made in the region, the Prime Minister stated that the contributions of the Foundations to the development and progress of the country since 1571 are too great to be underestimated. Saying that the investment in youth is an investment in the future, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed.

After the speeches, the Iskele Evkaf Turkish Maarif College, which cost 8 million Turkish Liras and was completed by the Cyprus Foundations Administration, was transferred to the Ministry of National Education and Culture and the school was inaugurated.
