In the town of Birgi, hometown of the Islamic scholar Birgivi, famous for his "testament", the door of the madrasah was opened at dawn.

Knowledgeable Mufti Arif Mehmed Efendi was breathing fresh air in the garden of the madrasa after the morning prayer. When he saw two tired people in front of him, he welcomed them and showed them a place:

-You were welcome at this time of the morning, but we were surprised, where did you spend the night?

-Sir, we set out for science. When that's the point, nothing else matters.

-May Allah increase your effort. However, I wondered where you spent the night and slept while you came all this way day and night.

While his father was bowing his head as if to say "it doesn't matter", little Mehmet next to him gave a childish answer;

We tied our horses and slept in the shade of the willow trees by the fountains.

-Is that so? Did your father sleep too?

-I slept, sir. When I woke up in the morning, I saw that my father had not slept.

They laughed at the child's naive answer. Mufti Effendi, stroking the hair of the baby who will be a madrasa student, called the officials:

– My son, let our guests in for rest immediately. Let them rest. Then enroll the little hafiz in the madrasah.

Then he asked the officials:

Are there any other people who come here like this?

-It is, sir.

Alhamdulillah, we had bridges built in three places for the convenience of Allah's passenger rules. Now it is time to build a guesthouse in a suitable place. However, it is necessary to establish a foundation for the institutionalization of this service.

Mufti Arif Mehmed Efendi founded his foundation, also known as his own, in 1673.

The foundation built guesthouses for people passing by; He also stipulated that the renovation and repair of these and bridges should not be interrupted until the end, so that his service would be continuous.
