Turkish-Islamic Architecture on the Islands Conference was Held by Evkaf

The conference titled "Turkish-Islamic Architecture on the Islands" organized by the Cyprus Foundations Administration was held with great interest yesterday. Respected academic member of Marmara University Faculty of Architecture and Design, Assoc. Dr. Many relevant experts in their fields attended the conference moderated by Neval Konuk Halaçoğlu.

At the conference, the magnificent architecture of the historical buildings on the islands was discussed in detail. Assoc. Dr. Neval Konuk Halaçoğlu conveyed the information obtained as a result of years of research and showed that there are still works of various building types on the islands that preserve their beauty depending on the periods they were conquered. Halaçoğlu said that while baths and fountains stand out with their magnificent structures, mosques were generally used for different purposes such as museums, art galleries or churches.

With this important event, it is aimed to make a significant contribution to the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of Cyprus by emphasizing the richness of Turkish-Islamic architecture.
