We will applaud the Foundations Wheelchair Basketball Team at the European Cup in Italy this weekend!
Team sponsor Cyprus Foundations Administration (Evkaf) urged everyone to support the TRNC Foundations Wheelchair Basketball Team, which will face four teams in an international tournament in Italy this weekend.
Vakıflar Wheelchair Basketball Team will play four matches in three days with the teams of France, Italy and Poland in the European Cup (EuroCup 2) to be held in Sardinia, Italy between 22-24 April 2022. With fixtures postponed for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic, this will be the Turkish Cypriot team's first international tournament in the past two years.
Evkaf General Manager Professor İbrahim Benter, who met with the team before going to Sardinia, said, "We are proud to sponsor the Foundations Wheelchair Basketball Team. Good luck to our team, who is a great ambassador for Turkish Cypriots, at the EuroCup 2 tournament to be held in Sardinia this weekend. "We wish them well. They have four tough matches ahead of them. We will support them for each and we call on all Turkish Cypriots to do the same."

The winner of the EuroCup 2 tournament will be the team with the most points after playing with their opponents. The Vakıflar Wheelchair Basketball Team, which competes in the Turkish Wheelchair Basketball League, is seen by the tournament organizers as a team from Turkey.
