The Directorate General of the Cyprus Foundations Administration organised an iftar dinner for the ambassadors serving in the Greek Administration of Southern Cyprus and the TRNC.

Colin Stewart, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Cyprus, also attended the iftar dinner organised in Nicosia.

At the iftar dinner, which was attended by a crowded delegation, the beauties of Ramadan were discussed.

In his speech at the dinner, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer, Director General of the Cyprus Administration of Foundations, explained the rich history and important role of the Cyprus Administration of Foundations.

"The Cyprus Administration of Foundations has played a very important role in the social, cultural and economic fabric of the island. It has been a cornerstone of support for communities, provided basic services and encouraged a sense of solidarity among the people."

"Evkaf, which has hosted many civilisations and different religions with its 453 years of history, has embraced everyone living on the island, regardless of their beliefs and backgrounds, regardless of language, religion, race," continued Tümer, "Evkaf aims to cooperate with different countries for better projects."

The dinner, which was also attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Foundations Administration, Selahaddin Bayırkan, was also attended by the officials of international organisations and institutions.
