The "Innovative Teachers Project," organized in collaboration with the Cyprus Vakıflar Administration (Evkaf), Gazimağusa Municipality Mağusa Development Center (MAGEM), and the Social Development Movement Association (TOGEH), was successfully completed between November 11-14, 2024.

The first stage of the project began with comprehensive training on innovation, problem-solving, project writing, and management, delivered to 35 participants by experts in the field. During the training, participants gained in-depth knowledge about innovative teaching methods and creative thinking techniques.

Following the training, the participants presented the projects they had developed to the jury. The top three projects selected by the jury were the VeloAkademi Project, the Smart Bag Project, and the Mole Project.

The VeloAkademi Project won first place by offering an approach that supports recycling, has low costs, and is not dependent on external factors such as electricity and the internet. The project aims to improve the psychomotor and cognitive skills of students aged 14-18 attending secondary schools in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

The Smart Bag Project, designed for primary school students, came in second place. This bag aims to make school preparations fun while instilling a sense of responsibility in students. With a Bluetooth-controlled device, it offers reminders to help students complete their school supplies.

The Mole Project placed third with a robot design aimed at saving people trapped under rubble after earthquakes and mining accidents. This robot moves through debris to create a life hole and assists in survival by providing vital fluids and food bars.

The Innovative Teachers Project provided participants with the opportunity to develop their creativity and innovative thinking skills, while also highlighting significant advancements in education.
